Nicola Erdpresser is the founder of Inkwell Designs, and as a freelance graphic designer and stained glass artist she enjoys making marks, and working with graphic elements, colour and light. Nicola studied Typography & Graphic Communications at Reading University and has worked for most of her career in book publishing. Having discovered a love of making patterns she has been developing her collection of textile design products with a focus on being sustainable and kind to our planet. Nicola began making zero waste cutlery bags, then developed a range of scarves, tea towels and cushion covers in organic cotton and these will be available to purchase at Brentford Art Trail. In 2020 during the pandemic, Nicola kept creative by running an online sketching hour per week with a group of like-minded people. A selection of these drawings have been printed as greetings cards on recycled card. Nicola's stained glass (www.stainedglassartshop.co.uk) can be seen in the upstairs cafe at the Musical Museum and a selection of tealight lamps will be available to buy in the museum shop and on her stall. Nicola will be located outside on Catherine Wheel Lane (the Blue Road) during this year's Creative Mile with a stall showcasing Inkwell Designs products.
