Gerald Curtis will be performing Internal Rhythms, a sound drawing generated in real time at Creative Mile 2023. Working with paper, graphite and water, Gerald is collaborating with sound artist Martin Swan to create a unique live performance where sound is generated by drawing onto paper and built up over time. Each drawing is improvised and therefore unique, and because the shape and form of the drawing defines the sounds generated, each performance has its own sound. The result of the performance will be a large, layered, gestural surface, which echoes the trace of the sound that disappears after the performance is complete.
