@The Eye Boutique

Time catches up with us and has an impact on our senses - importantly for artists, age can affect our eyesight. Famously, Monet painted The Water Lilly series when he had cataracts. You can experience how it feels to have cataracts and other common eye conditions, such as glaucoma and tunnel vision, using simulated glasses at The Eye Boutique. Know about the tell-tale signs and what you can do to prevent eye conditions.

Guided tours of St Mary’s Convent and heritage rooms.

There is a maximum 10 people on each tour, spaces will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.

See the 100 year old printing press in action.

2pm @ Watermans Park

Enjoy traditional English folk dancing in the park. If you're interested in having a go, come to a taster session.

'How to fix a human' - launch of art and poetry collaboration exploring themes of repair and vulnerability with readings, music and guest artists.

3-5 pm @ Watermans Park

Grab a deckchair, put your feet up and enjoy some sweet treats at the Summer bandstands in Watermans Park.  With three artists playing each day over the weekend, the theme of 'time' will be interwoven in their sets. Organised by Friends of Watermans Park, find out more about the musicians.

Saturday line-up: Elaine Samuels, Steve Hutchinson and Compound Radius.

5:30 pm @ Plonkers, 80 High Street

Finish the day off by joining us at Plonker's garden party.

It's the final day of Creative Mile and first day of the 30th festival of Hounslow Senior Trust. A self-guided tour of five Creative Mile venues for the festival finishes up at the Bandstand in Watermans Park. Put your feet up, relax and enjoy an afternoon by the waterside listening to live music.  Organised by Friends of Watermans Park, find out more about the musicians.
