Art on Your Doorstep.
We are delighted to announce that we will be partnering with the National Gallery this year.
Life-size reproductions of masterpieces from the National Gallery collection will be coming to Brentford as part of a new national touring project, The National Gallery: Art On Your Doorstep. Brentford is one of twelve towns across the UK that will share paintings from the nation’s collection with communities beyond Trafalgar Square.
The outdoor exhibition will launch on the same weekend as the Creative Mile weekend (4th September 2026) and will be on display until 14 February 2027.
Up to 30 printed reproductions of masterpieces from the National Gallery will be exhibited in the town. Each painting will be reproduced life-sized, in fine detail and in its frame, allowing visitors the chance to look closely at the brushstrokes and discover hidden details. Outdoors and free to view, this exhibition will entwine art with the everyday.
The exhibition will be influenced by this year’s Creative Mile theme of ‘love’ and be shaped by Brentford’s people, landmarks and history.
