Lawrence Stainbank

As a teenager I attended Sunderland School of Art and painted off and on for the rest of my life despite becoming a boring business man.

I have, in the last few years, gone back to my first love with a vengeance.

I paint almost exclusively in oils, being intrigued by the depth and richness of colour that this medium makes possible. Contrast, light and shade and complimentary colours are my obsession. I am thrilled at the prospect of taking part in the Creative Mile this year. Hope to see you there!
