A beautifully imaginative, hands-on show that transforms life’s big challenges into an exciting path of discovery for brave young explorers.
Hop, Paddle, Splash! is the newest work from Scirocco Dance Theatre, who work at the intersection between choreography, architecture and storytelling to create exciting new worlds of exploration and co-habitation.

Scirocco likes to play with different materials and explore diverse performance media including staged pieces, installations, films, outdoor site-specific works, and magical performance for children and families.
Scirocco is a London-based company run by Artistic Director Irene Fiordilino and her partner and Technical Manager Aidan Good. Irene is a choreographer, researcher, lecturer and supervisor at Trinity Laban, holding a PhD in Creative Practice exploring the intersection between choreography and architecture. Her work has been presented at festivals and arts events internationally, and her interdisciplinary approach continues to inform the social dimension of Scirocco’s work. Her passion for architectural contaminations in performance frequently fosters unconventional engineering challenges that Aidan is tasked with solving! Aidan is a sound engineer and set designer, with experience on several West End productions, on UK tours and internationally. Aidan’s technical expertise feeds into the company’s cross-disciplinary approach, especially when it comes to playing with sound, lighting and material experimentation.
Scirocco's aim is to raise awareness on the impact of architecture on societies’ values, beliefs and behaviours, looking at environmental issues and the relation between politics and urban geographies.
