Join Linden Dance Company for a free creative workshop for young people aged 10+, exploring the River Thames through dance, movement, music and creative tasks.

‍

Linden Dance Company is an award winning, nationally recognised Contemporary / Afro-fusion company creating bold, inclusive performance and community projects for children and young people.

‍

From 9am–1pm (with breaks), participants will work with Linden’s artists to generate movement, rhythm and ideas inspired by the river, community, climate and what a “beautiful future” could look like. The session will be energetic, imaginative and welcoming, with no previous dance experience needed — just curiosity and a willingness to get involved.

The work created during the workshop will then be shared publicly from 2pm–3pm as part of an open workshop/performance, where audiences can watch the young people’s created material alongside professional dancers and musician and experience the process in action.

‍

This is a chance for young people to be part of a lively, supportive creative process and to perform work made on the day.
