Vivienne Haig

Vivienne is an established architectural glass artist and studio artist, making large-scale glass work for architectural settings alongside her other studio work.

“At the beginning of new projects and schemes, once the content and composition are defined, colour and light are usually my starting points. My work is rooted in construction, geometry and painting, with line, form and structure developing intuitively from there.

I am interested in optical light, movement and crossing boundaries between different media. I am continually exploring new processes and techniques to create work that engages the senses that can evoke an intuitive or subconscious response.”

Vivienne has exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts, London, and the Royal Scottish Academy, Edinburgh. Her work is held in public and private collections.

Architectural projects include The Newman Window, Oriel College, University of Oxford, and The West Windows, St Patrick’s Catholic Church, Soho Square, London
